HOME MADE DOG TREATS

An excellent way to entertain the kids and please the dog for a while during Lockdown!

These are easy to make and will last for days if you put them in an airtight container.

  • 300gPlain wholemeal flour (substitute for oats if you struggle to get flour)

  • 1 tspSalt

  • 1Egg(s) (free range)

  • 1Stock (beef, chicken or fish stock cube)

  • 150mlWater (hot)

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 170 °C (150 °C for Fan Assisted Oven)

  2. Dissolve the stock cube of your choice in hot water.

  3. Add remaining ingredients

  4. Knead dough until it forms a ball (approximately 3 minutes)

  5. Roll dough until ½ cm thick.

  6. Cut into shape

  7. Place dough pieces on baking paper

  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes (or until golden brown)

A flavour alternative is to use some peanut butter.... Get baking, your dog will let you know which flavours they prefer.
